First of all, thank you to everyone who reached out to me after my last post. I am excited to talk more about ways to control anxiety and stress with y’all!! It isn’t completely unavoidable, but there are things you can do to make it better.
I have to tell y’all about my day that I made that post: I got our taxes back from our accountant and we owed about twice what I was expecting, I found out my son had totaled his car (he’s fine, though), and a huge windstorm with 75 mph winds destroyed my garage doors. Needless to say, I was completely worn out and stressed to the max. I put my daughter to bed, only to have her say to me a few minutes later: “Mom, I throwed up.” There was throw up all over her bed, carpet and clothing. I felt so defeated, but here I am, we are all still healthy and things are getting better. Some days are horrible and terrible, but they do end.
All right, on to more fun things! Recently I’ve been having a procedure done on my skin called NIR Skin Tightening. I always call it “skin ironing”, because that’s what it looks like (watch my video below to see). Near Infrared technology is basically an infrared light that heats the tissue under the skin’s surface. According to my aesthetican, the infrared technology heats the tissue deep below the skin’s surface, which causes the collagen fibers to contract and tighten.
The results are immediate, but the skin continues to improve after the treatment because collagen starts to form. 3-6 treatments every 2-4 weeks will get you the best results. I have moderate skin laxity, so this procedure works well for me. I get so many compliments on my skin after having this procedure done. And best of all–it doesn’t hurt!
Oooh! Where do you go? I see someone up in Ogden- I’ll have to look into this. Just because I’m from the south, doesn’t mean I’m ok with things heading that way!;)
